The Banking Personnel Selection Institute conducts the IBPS RRB Exam to recruit officers who will be heading the various Regional Rural Banks (RRBs) in India.

The recruiting is carried out on two occasions.

The following are:

  • Class A officers: Scale-I(Headmanager), Scale-II(Headmanager), Scale-III(Headmanager)
  • Class B business assistants: Business assistants with multipurpose

IBPS RRB Notification

The IBPS RRB recruitment 2020 notification was issued by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection on June 30th 2020.

IBPS has announced a total of 9698 vacancies for the year 2020 to nominate candidates for various officer and office assistant positions.The number of vacancies reported from the previous year has risen as IBPS had revealed a total of 8850 vacancies for both Group A Officers and Group B Office Assistants combined in 2019.

The electronic recruitment registration for 2020 had been completed by 21 July 2020.

Date of IBPS RRB Test

The Institute of Banking Staff Selection announced the exam dates for the 2019 IBPS RRB Exam.

The official notification for the IBPS RRB exam has been released and there has been a minor change in the schedule of exams from the one specified in the official IBPS Calendar 2020-21 so that candidates can refer to the schedule for the IBPS RRB 2020 exam below:

IBPS RRB Eligibility

Candidates who attempt this year’s IBPS RRB Exam must fully understand the eligibility criteria.The IBPS RRB Exam features three requirements.The following are:

  1. Nationality / Citizenship: the applicants must be Indian, Nepal, Bhutan citizens.
  2. Age: For Officer Scale I & II the minimum age limit is 21 years and for Officer Scale III and Officer Assistants it is 18 years.
  3. On the IBPS RRB Eligibility page, candidates can review the specific upper-and lower-age limit requirements
  4. Education and Experience: Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution, and the appropriate experience as specified by the IBPS for some positions.

IBPS RRB Exam Pattern

The Procedure for the IBPS RRB Exam is:

  1. Prelims Examination
  2. Mains Examination
  3. Interview Phase

Note: the interview process does not extend to applicants applying for an Office Assistant position.It only applies to Officers Scale posts-I, II & III.

IBPS RRB Syllabus

The IBPS RRB Syllabus covers a broad range of topics for IBPS RRB Syllabus on a variety of topics that differ depending on the Officers Scale –II specialization.

The key topics discussed in the Prelims are as follows:

  1. Logical Reasoning
  2. Quantitative Aptitude

The entire paper is made up of 80 marks and must be done within 45 minutes of time.

Mains Syllabus at IBPS RRB is as follows:

  1. Quantitative Aptitude
  2. Logical Reasoning
  3. English / Hindi Language
  4. Financial Knowledge
  5. General Awareness
  6. Computer Knowledge

The mains exam is a minimum of 200 marks, for which the overall length is approximately 120 minutes.

IBPS RRB Apply Online

Candidates will visit the official IBPS website to fill out the application form to register for the IBPS RRB Exam.

The measures to register with IBPS RRB are as follows:

Phase 1-Visit the official website of IBPS.

Phase 2–Use your mobile number and email I d to register.

Step 3–Login using your registration I d, which will be created with your mobile number and email address after you register.

Phase 4-Complete all basic information such as name, address, etc.

Phase 5-Upload necessary documents such as photos, signature.

Step 6 – Check the application form before clicking on the ‘send’ button to ensure all the data entered are accurate and free from any errors.

Phase 7-Choose your payment form for the payment of the application fee and fill in the details. The registration process will be completed.
