SSC CGL 2019 Exam Pattern

Staff Selection Commission of India will be conducting SSC CGL 2019 Exam in four Phases: Tier-1, Tier-2, Tier-3 & Tier-4 exam. Even though Tier-I & Tier-II exam will be conducted online, Tier-III will be a pen and paper established examination and Tier-IV is going to be a computer skill test. Let’s have a peek at the test pattern for all these phases of SC CGL 2019 Recruitment process one .

Candidates must note that the rating for SSC CGL Tier-I & Tier-II Exam will be normalised if it’s conducted in numerous changes. The normalisation score is going to be determined by SSC and it will be considered final for selecting candiidates for the further rounds (Tier-III & Tier-IV) of SSC CGL 2018-19 Assessment.

SSC CGL Tier-1 Exam Pattern

 

SSC CGL Tier-1 will be run tentatively from 04th June to 19th June 2019. The exam will be conducted online containing of 4 sections with roughly a 100 queries in complete and with maximum marks of 200. The entire examination is needed to be finished in a time span of 60 minutes.

The sections used in SSC CGL Tier-I Exam are:

  • General Intelligence & Reasoning
  • General Awareness
  • Quantitative Aptitude
  • English Comprehension

Panalty of Wrong Answer: There is a negative marking of 0.50 Marks for each wrong answer. There is not any sectional cut off. No point will be deducted when the query is left blank or unattempted by a candidate.

SSC CGL Tier-2 Assessment Pattern

SSC CGL Tier-2 will be run tentatively from 11th September to 13th September 2019. The exam will be conducted on line containing of 4 segments with about a 100 questions in each section and with maximum marks of 200.

The segments asked in SSC CGL Tier-I Exam are:

  • Quantitative Ability
  • Statistics
  • General Studies (Finance & Economics)
  • English Language & Comprehension

Penalty of Wrong Answer: there’s a negative marking of 0.25 Marks for every wrong answer. There is not any sectional cut off. No point will be deducted if the question is left blank or attempted by a candidate.

SSC CGL Tier-3 Assessment Pattern

Tier-3 of all SSC CGL will be a comprehensive test. The paper will be in English/Hindi and will constitute of 100 marks. The entire paper needs to be finished in 60 minutes.

SSC CGL Tier-4 Assessment is a Computer Skill Test.

DEST: Nominees have to type 2000 phrases in 15 minutes on a pc in English. This test is conducted to check a candidate’s writing skills.

CPT: This test is conducted to assess a candidate’s proficiency in Word Processing, Spreadsheets and Generation of Slides.
